Bilingual students are always facing more challenges than normal students in the field of education and it is important to consider educational methods according to them. The aim of the present study was to examine the effect of digital storytelling on the academic motivation and learning of the Persian language lesson of bilingual students in Karun city. In this study, a quasi-experimental method and a pre-test-post-test research design were used along with the control group. The statistical population of the present study included all bilingual second grade students of Karun city who were studying in the academic year of 2022-2023. For sampling, 30 subject were selected by convinience sampling method and distributed in two experimental and control groups in a completely random manner. Subjects were given Harter's standard academic motivation questionnaire and a researcher-made Persian language learning test in the pre-test phase. Then, the experimental group was presented with a digital storytelling training package, and the control group received training in the traditional way and according to the normal routine. At the end of the course, a post-test was conducted. Data were analyzed using Multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA).The results showed that digital storytelling had a significant effect on academic motivation and Persian language learning of bilingual students in Karun city (P<0.05). Considering the confirmation of the effectiveness of digital storytelling on the development of academic motivation and improvement of Persian language learning in bilingual students, this method can be used in the education of bilingual students
